NICODEMUS: 'Next In Nocturne' Video Posted Online

Portland-based progressive metallers NICODEMUS have unveiled the web premiere of their new longform conceptual video for the track "Next In Nocturne". The clip is now available at the band's web site, www.nicodemus.us. The video was directed by Joni DeRouchie, a Northwest-based independent filmmaker who has worked on projects such as "Remote Control" and "Bigger Than Jesus". DeRouchie is a critically acclaimed director whose previous work has been selected for prestigious international film festivals. The concept for the video is gothic noir mixed with performance footage and features a large cast of actors, actresses, and extras including a cameo by published gothic novelist Jemiah Jefferson, whose works include "Voice of the Blood", "Wounds" and "Fiend".

As previously reported, NICODEMUS released their third album, titled "Vanity Is A Virtue" through the Greek label Sonic Age Records in June of 2005. The album is said to be more progressive sounding than the band's previous NICODEMUS releases, 2000's "Tales of the Lovelorn and Necromantic" (Dark Throne Music) and 2003's "The Supernatural Omnibus" (Dark Symphonies),which saw the band focusing on a goth/black metal-based sound with progressive elements.
